Overview

The Sonnwendfeier Oedheim 2025 traditionally took place around June 21st at the Säukies festival meadow. The Liederkranz choir organized two days of traditional festival with a bonfire on Saturday evening, catering, choir singing, and convivial gathering. In mild summer weather, the festival meadow filled with families and regular visitors from Oedheim and the neighboring communities of the Heilbronn district.

The 2025 edition continued the traditional format. The Liederkranz Oedheim opened the Säukies festival meadow on Saturday afternoon; the evening festival program led to the highlight: after dark around 9:30 PM, the large solstice bonfire was lit, the Liederkranz choir sang summer solstice songs around the flames, and the festival guests enjoyed the warm summer night with draft beer and Swabian catering.

On Sunday (official day of the summer solstice), a quieter program took place with a morning pint, lunch, and winding down in the afternoon. The Sonnwendfeier remained a social identity ritual of Oedheim's association life in 2025.
