Edition 2025 — Sommernachtsfest FFW Hitzhofen
The 2025 Sommernachtsfest of the FFW Hitzhofen-Oberzell continued the annual tradition — marquee at the fire station, Bavarian catering, live music in the evening. Villagers and guests from the Altmühltal region met in front of the fire station for a classic summer festival of club life. Proceeds, as usual, went to the fire brigade's club fund.
The 2025 edition ran in the tried-and-tested format. The brigade provided catering independently, the atmosphere was relaxed and cordial as usual — not a tourist spectacle, but a genuine club festival with character.
Such summer festivals organized by volunteer fire brigades form the backbone of Bavarian club life. In municipalities like Hitzhofen (1,300 inhabitants), they are simultaneously a source of funding, a meeting place, and a cultural showcase for the village. The Sommernachtsfest of the FFW Hitzhofen-Oberzell actively upholds this tradition year after year.
