Edition 2025 — Summer Festival Herne Animal Shelter
The 2025 summer festival of the Tierschutzverein Herne-Wanne took place on the first weekend of July 2025 at the animal shelter Hofstraße 51. Sales stands, flea market, raffle, and food bar attracted animal lovers from the western Ruhr area — proceeds for the shelter animals.
Summer Festival 2025
The 2025 edition brought the proven program: two afternoons of animal shelter festival atmosphere with sales, flea market, raffle, and food stands. Hundreds of visitors from Herne, Bochum, Gelsenkirchen, and Recklinghausen supported the animal welfare association through purchases and donations. Prospective adopters could get to know the animals.
Afterwards, the animal welfare association announced the 2026 edition for July 4th and 5th, 2026 — the same program with expanded vegan food options.
