Edition 2025 — Animal Shelter Summer Festival
In 2025, the Tierschutz Ahrensburg-Großhansdorf e.V. again invited visitors to its summer festival on the grounds on Waldreiterweg. Visitors could get to know the animals, talk to staff and volunteers, and support the work of the traditional facility with donations.
2025 Summer Festival at the Animal Shelter
As every year, the 2025 Summer Festival focused on the association's adoption and educational work. The doors of the animal shelter on Waldreiterweg opened to families from the entire Stormarn district and the eastern Hamburg metropolitan area.
Volunteers introduced the current animals under their care, answered questions about intake, sponsorship, and daily animal welfare work, and provided information about available foster home placements. Donation boxes and a sales stand for pet food and association merchandise completed the day. The next summer festival will be on June 21, 2026.
