Getting There
By car: A10 Berliner Ring, exit Friesack, then B5 towards Rathenow, continue via country roads to Stechow-Ferchesar (approx. 1:15 h from Berlin). By train: RE2 to Rathenow or Wustermark, then bus or taxi.

With around 1,000 inhabitants, Stechow-Ferchesar is one of the smaller communities in the Landkreis Havelland district. Its geographical peculiarity: it lies in the middle of the Westhavelland Nature Park and the Westhavelland Star Park, designated in 2014, the first certified star park in Germany. Here, the night sky is so dark that the Milky Way is visible to the naked eye — an exception in densely populated Central Europe.
