100 Years of Musikverein Ederheim

2025 was an exceptional year for Musikverein Ederheim e.V.: its 100th anniversary. Founded in 1925, the club is one of the most traditional brass bands in the Nördlinger Ries. The Sommerfest in July 2025 was part of a series of anniversary events that shaped the year – including the 33rd District Music Festival of the Allgäu-Schwäbischer Musikbund in May in Ederheim.

The Sommerfest 2025

The Sommerfest traditionally took place at the clubhouse. Saturday evening focused on the ceremony with concerts by the main band and youth groups, plus Swabian-Franconian catering with sausages (Bratwürste), pork knuckle (Schäufele), and draft beer. Sunday featured the Frühschoppen with guest bands from District 16 of the Allgäu-Schwäbischer Musikbund. Families, club members, and friends from the Donau-Ries region gathered for a celebration – a worthy event in the anniversary year.
