Edition 2025 — Sommerfest Waldsee
The 2025 summer festival of Haus am Waldsee took place on Sunday, July 20, from 1 PM to 8 PM in the garden of the villa on Argentinische Allee in Berlin-Zehlendorf. Performances by Dario Wokurka, Jasmine Parsley, Luise Bichler, Franco Mazzucchelli, and Yade Nargis, a reading with Jenny Erpenbeck, a concert by CTM & Frederik Worm, and family workshops marked the festival day.
Summer Festival 2025 — Five Artistic Interventions in the Garden
On July 20, 2025, Haus am Waldsee opened its garden for the all-day summer festival. Admission to the festival grounds was free; for the exhibition “How Frequency The Eye” by Josephine Pryde, regular admission applied (€9 / €6 reduced). The program featured five artistic interventions and several readings, workshops, and concerts:
- 1:00 PM–3:00 PM — Dario Wokurka: “Water Bar” with curated mineral waters, accompanied by a video work on the monochrome watercolor series
- 1:00 PM–8:00 PM — Jasmine Parsley: Treasure hunt exploring “hidden social norms and ideologies” in garden design
- 2:00 PM–4:00 PM — Luise Bichler: Family workshop, painting with ice cubes, water guns, and brushes on large fabric panels hung in the garden
- 4:00 PM — Franco Mazzucchelli: Performance with inflatable PVC sculptures, “movement and transformation” in an interactive public art format
- 5:00 PM — Yade Nargis: Dramatic reading from Tezer Özlü's 1982 Berlin work on introspection and cultural pilgrimage
- 7:00 PM — CTM & Frederik Worm: Open-air concert with cello compositions, photography, and text
The café service with culinary offerings and drinks ran concurrently. The reading with Jenny Erpenbeck and the plant print workshop were among the most attended program items. Organizer: Haus am Waldsee — Internationale Kunst in Berlin e.V. The grounds were, as always, wheelchair-accessible and equipped with changing tables for families.
