Sommerfest der Freiwilligen Feuerwehr Duvenstedt

The 2025 Sommerfest proceeded as usual. With summer weather, the fire station grounds and the festival tent were well-attended on June 14 – families from Duvenstedt, the Walddörfer, and the neighboring communities in Schleswig-Holstein took advantage of the Saturday afternoon to visit.

The brigade also used the opportunity for youth recruitment: members of the youth fire brigade presented themselves, and interested individuals could make initial contacts. Such summer festivals are an important format for the Duvenstedt Volunteer Fire Brigade – as for all volunteer fire brigades in Hamburg – for recruitment and community bonding.
