Overview

The Sommerbühnen Aschaffenburg 2025 took place in August and September on the TH Aschaffenburg campus. A first successful festival edition at this location with three program partners (Colos-Saal, Heavy Grounds, BUZZ) and a broad mix of indie, heavy, singer-songwriter, and new music in an open-air setting under the sky.

The 2025 edition established the TH Aschaffenburg campus as the city's open-air venue. Several concert evenings were spread over four weeks, with program partners Colos-Saal, Heavy Grounds, and BUZZ as curators. The concept of co-curated festival evenings proved successful – instead of a single booking line, it created a diverse program that appealed to various audience groups.

For 2026, Sound Of Liberation has been brought on board as an additional program partner – an indication that the concept will be further expanded and the festival is gaining growing supra-regional importance.
