Overview

The 30th edition of Sommer in Lesmona celebrated the festival's anniversary in Knoops Park in 2025. Three days of open-air classical music by the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, featuring picnic concerts, readings, and the traditional family day on Sunday – as always in the atmospheric landscape park in Lesum, under the open sky and with thousands of blankets on the lawn.

In 2025, the festival was entirely dedicated to its 30th anniversary. Since 1995, the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen has invited audiences to Knoops Park at the end of June, establishing one of the Hanseatic city's most beautiful summer traditions. As every year, the Bremen Friday Night with a guest star opened the series, followed by the musical and literary Tea in Lesmona and the Grand Orchestra Concert on Saturday evening with the traditional sparkler ceremony. Sunday was dedicated to families.

In 2025 too, thousands of visitors brought blankets, picnic baskets, and folding chairs, experiencing classical music in a relaxed open-air atmosphere. The picnic competition on Family Day remains the convivial heart of the festival – with sumptuously laid tables directly on the lawn.
