The Sommer in der Stadt Festival 2025 took place for the first time in its developed form on the Landesgartenschau grounds in Amberg. With Indie, Pop, Reggae, Rock, Hip-Hop, and Soul acts, the festival established itself as a boutique format with international booking ambitions in the northern Upper Palatinate.

The Sommer in der Stadt Festival Amberg 2025 was an important growth phase for the festival. Three days of open-air on the Landesgartenschau grounds confirmed the genre-mix approach of organizer TNT Productions: Indie and Pop as the base, complemented by Reggae, Rock, Hip-Hop, and Soul. With an audience capacity of around 3,000 visitors, the festival offered a manageable, family-friendly open-air atmosphere in an urban park – an alternative to the mass festivals of the season. The success in 2025 laid the foundation for the 2026 line-up with Grammy winners Arrested Development.
