Overview

The 2025 edition of Sommer Hygge once again brought three days of Midsummer atmosphere to Flensburg's Old Town. The central squares Marienkirchhof, Nordermarkt, and Willy-Brandt-Platz were the venues for concerts, workshops, and a flea market.

Sommer Hygge 2025 continued the tradition of the free, accessible Midsummer festival. For three days, Flensburg's Old Town transformed into an open stage, featuring bands from Schleswig-Holstein and southern Denmark, street music, workshops for families, and a flea market for Scandinavian design and vintage items.

As in previous years, the festival was organized by the Tourismus Agentur Flensburger Förde GmbH in collaboration with local cultural stakeholders. The 2025 edition confirmed the importance of Sommer Hygge as the start of summer for Flensburg and the German-Danish border region.
