The 2025 edition of Sommer am U once again offered three months of free open-air programming in front of the Dortmunder U. 25 organizers curated Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday evenings with concerts, DJ sets, and poetry slams.

The 2025 edition of Sommer am U further expanded the concept of the free open-air stage. Thousands of visitors came to the Leonie-Reygers-Terrasse over the summer — concerts, family Sundays, and spoken word evenings characterized the program.
