Three days of genre diversity at the Wehmingen Tram Museum – HipHop, Indie, Pop, Techno, Soul, Afrobeat on four stages
The Hannover Tram Museum in Wehmingen, a district of Sehnde about 20 kilometers southeast of Hannover, houses one of the largest collections of historic trams in Germany. More than a hundred vehicles from over a century of transport history are located on extensive grounds. Once a year, this unusual location transforms into a festival venue: the SNNTG Festival.
The festival is spread across four stages in different areas of the grounds. The distances between the stages are bridged by historic trams: cars from the 1920s, 1950s, and 1970s function as shuttles, serving as both transportation and part of the festival experience.
Musically, SNNTG moves between genres, making this diversity a programming principle. The stages are accented differently depending on the time of day and style: HipHop and Indie on one, Pop and Soul on another, Techno and House in the evenings, plus acts from FLINTA* Punk, New Wave, Jazz, Afrobeat, and experimental sound. The booking focuses on a mix of German and international artists and balanced gender distribution.
The festival sees itself as a Safer Space with an active awareness structure. Trained staff are on-site, quiet zones are available, and clear rules of conduct are communicated. With around three thousand visitors, the festival remains manageable and retains a friendly character appreciated by regulars and newcomers alike.
Over the past few years, the SNNTG Festival has established itself as a reliable destination for a young, urban, and musically curious scene in the Hannover region. The blend of an unusual location, diverse program, and active awareness policy creates an atmosphere that stands out from conventional festival formats.
The 2026 booking follows the proven programming policy: one headliner slot per day, numerous newcomers, and established acts from the German indie, hip-hop, and electronic scenes, complemented by international guests.
The exact 2026 lineup will be published by the organizer in spring and early summer. The structure follows the proven cornerstones of previous years:
Active awareness structure, trained staff, quiet zones, clear rules of conduct against discrimination and assault.
