Overview

The SK Fürnried Spring Festival 2025 traditionally took place around Ascension Day at the Silberberg sports grounds. Four days of Sportsmen's Kirchweih with a hike, 25th meadow run, prize Schafkopf, football tournament, and festival service – one of the established Upper Palatinate club festival traditions in Birgland.

Spring Festival 2025 — Review

In 2025, the SK Fürnried Spring Festival once again confirmed its reputation as one of the most distinctive club festivals in Birgland. Over 160 hikers set off on Thursday through the forests around Fürnried, while the 25th meadow run filled the sports grounds with children's groups from the entire Amberg-Sulzbach district.

Friday evening was dedicated to Schafkopf, Saturday saw the hobby football tournament and the band night dominate the festival grounds. The event concluded with the Sportsmen's Kirchweih on Sunday, featuring a festival service, Frühschoppen, suckling pig, and Baumaustanzen – lived Upper Palatinate folk tradition, supported by a sports club that holds its village together.
