Overview

In 2025, the Selber Heimat- und Wiesenfest on the Goldberg attracted thousands of visitors from Selb, the Fichtelgebirge, and neighboring Czech Republic over four days. The two school parades on Sunday and Monday were, as always, the highlight – each Selb school with its own traditional costume and songs.

The Selber Wiesenfest 2025 once again confirmed its status as Selb's most important traditional festival. Opened on Friday evening, with continuous festival tent operations featuring live bands and Upper Franconian pub cuisine, the two school parades at 12:45 PM through the town center to the Goldberg took place on Sunday and Monday.

As every year, the festival connected the Selb school community with clubs, families, and guests from neighboring Czech Republic (Eger / Cheb, just a few kilometers away). The festival is part of Bavaria's intangible cultural heritage – a status that underscores the Wiesenfest's high importance in Upper Franconian identity.
