Overview

In 2025, Tegernsee also celebrated its lake festival at the Rathausplatz and along the lake promenade. Brass music, alphorn players, traditional costume dances, and a grand fireworks display around 10:15 PM characterized the evening. Regional delicacies and beer from the Herzogliches Brauhaus Tegernsee complemented the program.

The Seefest Tegernsee 2025 was part of the summer festival series of the Tegernsee municipalities: after the Seefest in Rottach-Egern at the beginning of July and before the one in Bad Wiessee in mid-August, Tegernsee attracted thousands of guests with its classic Upper Bavarian program. Due to weather conditions, backup dates had to be used multiple times in previous years — a practice that proved useful again in 2025.

The focus was on the traditional Schifferstechen, traditional costume dance groups, and the musically accompanied fireworks display around 10:15 PM. The free bus and ferry connections from 5:00 PM for festival guests eased the already tight parking situation in the Tegernsee town area.
