Overview

As early as 2025, preparations and prelude events for the 2026 Seebrücke anniversary began. Workshops, press conferences, and smaller public activities around the pier announced the grand celebration. The actual anniversary celebration is dated May 23, 2026 — 100 years after the construction of the first pier in 1926.

The Seebrückenfest is a unique anniversary event — a 100th birthday, by definition, only happens once. In 2025, the preparation phase was underway in Sankt Peter-Ording: conceptualization of the escape game "Projekt Zeitbrücke," development of the app for pier construction, and initial public announcements.

Although no full festival program was announced for 2025, the year served as the immediate prelude to the anniversary and was communicated by the SPO Tourism Office as a "preparatory year" with various accompanying activities.
