Overview
Schwörwochenende Ulm 2025
In July 2025, Ulm celebrated its traditional Schwörwochenende — one of Germany's oldest local festivals with roots in the 14th century. The swearing ceremony on Schwörmontag, with the Lord Mayor's public oath on Weinhof, formed the heart of the event. The torchlight serenade on the Danube, Nabada (water parade), and jousting on rafts brought the Danube to the center of the festival.
The DONAU 3 FM Schwörkonzert on Münsterplatz was, as always, one of the most popular program points. In front of the Gothic backdrop of the Ulmer Münster, an established artist or band from popular music performed — thousands of visitors from Ulm and the surrounding region came to the open-air concert. The 2025 Schwörwochenende once again confirmed its status as the identity-defining local festival for the people of Ulm.
