Overview
The Schwibbogenfest 2025 brought the old town of Wolkenstein into atmospheric Advent lighting on the 1st Advent weekend. Bell chimes, pyramid erection, brass band, mulled wine, bratwurst, and Erzgebirge handicrafts — the proven Advent festival tradition continued.
2025 Edition
As for years, Wolkenstein celebrated the Schwibbogenfest in 2025 on the first Advent weekend. The solemn opening on Friday with the ringing in of the Christmas season and the erection of the town pyramid moved citizens and guests once again. On Saturday, the small Christmas market opened with club stalls and handicrafts. The tradition lives on through the commitment of the Wolkenstein clubs and the church community — a piece of Erzgebirge identity in the pre-Christmas season.
