Overview
In 2025, the Schwerin Castle Festival once again transformed the state capital into a grand open-air stage for several weeks. The Mecklenburg State Theatre presented productions from opera, ballet, drama, and music on the stages around Schwerin Castle.
As in previous years, the Castle Festival was a cultural highlight of the summer in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and a major attraction for guests from the entire region. The festival has been held since 1993 and is one of the most significant theatre festivals in Northern Germany.
