Edition 2025 — Schwerin Castle Festival
The 2025 Schwerin Castle Festival once again offered a summer-long programme of opera, ballet, drama, and concerts on the open-air stages around Schwerin Castle. The festival by the Mecklenburg State Theatre attracted tens of thousands of visitors to the state capital of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
In 2025, the Schwerin Castle Festival once again transformed the state capital into a grand open-air stage for several weeks. The Mecklenburg State Theatre presented productions from opera, ballet, drama, and music on the stages around Schwerin Castle.
As in previous years, the Castle Festival was a cultural highlight of the summer in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and a major attraction for guests from the entire region. The festival has been held since 1993 and is one of the most significant theatre festivals in Northern Germany.
