Overview
The 26th Schweinfurter Kurzfilmtage took place over the Easter weekend in 2025 at the KuK Filmtheater. Several program blocks focusing on satire and humor, along with a regional film competition, characterized the festival. With the Regional Film Award and the loyal Schweinfurt film audience, the festival confirmed its reputation as Lower Franconia's most important short film event.
In 2025, the Schweinfurter Kurzfilmtage already set the tone for the Easter weekend at the KuK Filmtheater. Program blocks featuring satire, black humor, and regional films from Lower Franconia formed the core.
As in previous years, the Regional Film Award was decided by audience vote, and special formats for families and longer short films were offered. The 2025 edition laid the groundwork for the more extensive 2026 program, including the Antarctica Special.
