Overview

The 2025 Volkswandertag by Wanderfreunde Schwarzenbach e.V. took place in August at the gymnasium of the Schwarzenbach/Saale primary school. The DVV-approved hiking weekend led through the landscape of the Frankenwald over three routes of 5, 10, and 20 kilometers. The event was accessible.

In 2025, the Wanderfreunde Schwarzenbach e.V. club already invited participants to the traditional Volkswandertag on an August weekend. The three classic routes (5 km accessible, 10 km, and 20 km) were open to participants, with the start and finish as usual at the gymnasium of the primary school at Breslauer Straße 9.

Hikers from the entire Frankenwald, Fichtelgebirge, and the neighboring Vogtland used the weekend for their stamp passes and enjoyed the club's family-friendly atmosphere. Refreshment stands offered coffee, cake, and hearty meals, and at the finish line, the Wanderfreunde distributed the official IVV/DVV stamps.
