Schützenfest Warmsen

Warmsen and its Marksmen's Club

Warmsen is a municipality in the western Nienburg/Weser district and belongs to the Uchte municipality (Samtgemeinde). The rural village has a vibrant club scene, in which the Schützenverein Warmsen holds a firm place. The annual Schützenfest is the highlight of the club's year and brings together members, friendly clubs, and the village community.

Sport- und Vereinshaus as the Central Venue

Most program items take place at the Sport- und Vereinshaus Warmsen — the village's central meeting place with a shooting range, festival hall, and outdoor area. The facility allows for both sporting shooting competitions and social events such as the Citizens' Breakfast.

Multi-Day Event Over Several Weeks

Unlike compact weekend Schützenfeste, the Warmsen festival extends over several weeks and dates: May 16, 2026 — District Shoot in Nordel as a preliminary competition; July 4 — King's Shoot to determine the new marksman king; July 5 — Family Day with a program for the whole family; July 11 — Schützenfest as the main social event with a parade and dance evening; July 12 — Citizens' Breakfast as a convivial conclusion for the entire village community.

The Citizens' Breakfast as a Special Feature

The Citizens' Breakfast on Sunday, July 12, is a special part of the Warmsen festival. Unlike the classic King's Brunch (Königsfrühschoppen), the Citizens' Breakfast is explicitly open to the entire village community, bringing together marksmen and non-marksmen, young and old, members and guests at a large breakfast table. This tradition underscores the village character of the festival and its inclusive aim.

District Shoot in Nordel

The District Shoot on May 16, 2026, in Nordel is an inter-regional event of the District Marksmen's Association (Kreisschützenverband), in which the SV Warmsen participates and measures its marksmen against those of other clubs. It is an important sporting date in the run-up to their own Schützenfest.
