Schützenfest in the Natrup District

The Schützenfest of SV Natrup-Hilter is the most important traditional festival of the Natrup district in the municipality of Hilter am Teutoburger Wald. For generations, the shooting club has maintained the tradition of transforming the village into a community festival once a year — on the third weekend of June.

Three Days at Schützenplatz Burbrink

The 2026 edition runs from Saturday, June 20, to Monday, June 22. The venue is Schützenplatz Burbrink 7 in 49176 Natrup-Hilter — a traditional festival ground in the heart of the village.

Schützenfest Classics

As is customary for Schützenfeste in the Teutoburg Forest region, the festival includes a clear program of traditions: bird shooting, crowning of the new king and queen, parade through the village, king's dinner, dance evening with a live band, morning pint (Frühschoppen), and family day. The festival catering provides beer, bratwurst, and hearty classics.

The SV Natrup-Hilter is a member of the Schützenkreis Teutoburger Wald (Teutoburg Forest Shooting Association) and cultivates traditions together with friendly clubs in the region. Fanfare and pipe bands belonging to the association of shooters in the Teutoburg Forest participate in the parade.
