Hoyerswege in the Schützenbund
SV Hoyerswege is rooted in the Hoyerswege district of the municipality of Ganderkesee. As a member of the Ganderkeseer Schützenbund, the club participates in the season opening weekend of the federal shooting festival and celebrates its own club festival annually in July.
Weekend Program
Bird shooting and king shooting on Saturday, festival parade, family day, and king proclamation on Sunday — the classic scheme of the North German Schützenfest. Brass bands and festival orchestras provide musical accompaniment to the festival days.
King Proclamation Sunday 7:30 PM
Unlike most other club festivals in the Ganderkeseer Schützenbund, SV Hoyerswege proclaims its new monarchs on Sunday at 7:30 PM — half an hour later than most other clubs. The weekend reaches its climax with the handover of the king's chain and the festive reception.
