Bramsche Marksmen's Club — Tradition since 1967

The Bramsche Marksmen's Club was founded in 1967 and is one of the pillars of the club landscape in the "Tuchmacherstadt" (cloth-makers' town). Its annual marksmen's festival traditionally falls on the Ascension Day weekend — a choice that combines tradition and practicality: a public holiday and a weekend off work for many marksmen and guests.

May 14 and 15, 2026

The 2026 edition opens on Thursday, May 14 (Ascension Day) and culminates on Friday, May 15 with the traditional church service at 8 a.m. The church service has been part of the festival ritual since its founding and expresses the Christian connection of the marksmen's tradition.

Prize Shooting Before the Festival

Already on May 10 and 14, prize shooting competitions will take place. The marksmen compete for awards for special hits — a tradition that combines sporting ambition and club pride. Awards will be presented during the festival.

Community and Tradition
