137 Years of Marksmen's Tradition in Nenndorf
The SV Nenndorf und Umgegend e.V. was founded in 1889, making it one of the oldest marksmen's clubs in the municipality of Rosengarten and the district of Harburg. For over 130 years, the club has shaped village life in Nenndorf with shooting sports, youth work, and, above all, the annual Schützenfest, which is firmly anchored in the region's festival calendar.
Four Festival Days from July 11th to 14th, 2026
Saturday to Tuesday form the festival framework. A classic three-day variant from Saturday to Monday is traditional, while the four-day extension until Tuesday offers additional time for winding down the festivities and the traditional King's Dinner. Saturday opens with the King's Shoot and the first dance evening; Sunday features the Grand Tattoo and the King's Ball.
King's Shoot and King's Dinner
The highlight of the club year is the competition for the royal title. With the King's Shoot, the club determines the new monarchs who will shape the coming year and the next festival. The subsequent King's Dinner, with traditional marksmen's menus, honours the new kings within the closest circle of the club.
Parade Through Nenndorf
The parade on Monday afternoon leads the marksmen, the drum and bugle corps, and invited neighbouring clubs through the village. With decorated houses, festively assembled marksmen, and musical accompaniment, the marksmen's tradition is showcased in all its dignity.
Marquee, Dance Evenings, and Family Day
The large marquee on the Schützenplatz is the centrepiece of all evening events. Live bands ensure a full dance floor on at least two evenings. The Family Day offers a children's King's Shoot, carousels, a bouncy castle, and games for the youngest guests.
