St. Johannes Marksmen's Brotherhood Molbergen — Tradition since 1837
The St. Johannes Marksmen's Brotherhood Molbergen was founded in 1837, boasting nearly 200 years of club history. It is one of the most traditional marksmen's brotherhoods in the Oldenburg Münsterland region and is the main custodian of marksmen's traditions in the municipality of Molbergen. The venue for the annual main festival is the Bürgerpark Molbergen — a central event location in the community.
King's Shooting and Festival Weekend
On Saturday, June 6th, 2026, the King's shooting competition for adults and the Children's King shooting competition will take place at the shooting range. The actual three-day marksmen's festival follows two weeks later, from Friday, June 19th to Sunday, June 21st, 2026. The festival evening on Friday marks the start, on Saturday the Children's Marksmen's Festival takes center stage from 2:00 PM, followed by the Festival Ball in the evening. Sunday features the Festival Service, Festival Parade, King's Dinner, and Proclamation.
Summer Festival and Club Year
The association also hosts the Summer Festival with the King on August 1st, 2026 — a social highlight where the club family gathers as guests of the reigning Marksmen's King. This sustains club life throughout the entire summer.
