The 2026 Schützenfest in Lage is under the motto KRACH und KRONE, thus emphasizing the two poles of every Schützenfest: the shooting competition with its loud crackling and the festive coronation of the new king.

Border Municipality Lage on the Dinkel

Lage belongs to the Samtgemeinde Neuenhaus and is located directly on the Dutch border. The proximity to the Netherlands and life on the Dinkel river shape the identity of the municipality. The Schützenfest is one of the central identity moments of the year.

Schützenplatz Grenzstraße 2

The Schützenplatz at Grenzstraße 2 is the club's permanent festival address. The festival tent, shooting range, and assembly meadow offer space for club members, their families, and guests from the region.

Company Competition Shoot on May 31

In advance, a company competition shoot will take place on May 31, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., where the club's companies compete against each other. The day serves as the sporting start to the shooting season and leads up to the main festival on June 20.

Bird Shooting and Coronation

On June 20, the bird shooting with the subsequent proclamation of the new king is the highlight. The king's dinner in the evening, a dance evening with live music, and – depending on the program – a parade round off the festivities.
