Review of the 2025 Schützenfest

In the summer of 2025, the Schützenfest Idstedt took place in its usual format — shooting competitions in the morning at the shooting range, the king's proclamation in the afternoon with the ceremonial handover of the sash to the new marksmen's king, and a festival tent program in the evening with catering and music.

The Idstedt Marksmen's Association — like many Schleswig marksmen's associations, a central pillar of village culture — once again demonstrated in 2025 how a small village with a clear club structure and tradition can organize a festival day that connects generations.
