Overview

The 114th edition of the Schützen- und Volksfest Großenbaum took place in 2025 at Whitsun at the Saarner Straße festival grounds. The parade, King's bird shooting, and crowning marked the weekend – customs that the St. Hubertus Schützenbruderschaft has upheld since 1911. The 2025 edition continued the unbroken Großenbaum marksmen's tradition. The festival church service, Zapfenstreich, festive banquet, parade, and King's bird shooting followed the established Whitsun rhythm.

Saturday began with a festival church service in St. Franziskus Church, followed by the Grand Zapfenstreich and a DJ party in the festival tent. Sunday featured the festive banquet and awards ceremony at 10:30 AM, followed by the parade at 5 PM through Großenbaum with fraternities from the region, brass bands, and the royal couple in an open carriage. Whit Monday included a church service at 9:30 AM, the King's and Prince's bird shooting at 10:30 AM, and the crowning at 7:30 PM. The Saarner Straße festival grounds served as the venue.
