Village Tradition
The districts of Engerode and Hohenrode belong to the district of Bad and are located on the eastern outskirts of Salzgitter. Both villages are small, rural, and connected by close neighbourly relations. As in many North German communities, the annual Schützenfest is the most important date in the village calendar and a symbol of community spirit.
