Edition 2025 — Schützenfest Alte Allgemeine
The Schützenfest of the 1st Company of the Alte Allgemeine Bürgerschützengesellschaft Bottrop took place in June 2025 as usual at the Bogenstraße festival grounds. Four days of events with an officers' evening, Schützenmesse, military parade, royal reception, Royal Ball, bird shooting, and closing ball — the traditional choreography of the civil marksmen's festival.
2025 Schützenfest
In 2025, the civil marksmen's festival of the Alte Allgemeine once again attracted hundreds of marksmen and guests to the Bogenstraße festival grounds. The strict dress code and clear program choreography make the event a characteristic example of the Ruhr Area's civil marksmen tradition.
The new marksmen's king was determined on Sunday during the bird shooting, and the young marksmen were ceremonially inducted into the company — upholding the best traditions of Bottrop's civil marksmen's culture.
