Overview

The Schrobenhausener Spargelfest 2025 took place on April 26, 2025, on Lenbachplatz. With a ceremonial asparagus tapping, the reigning Asparagus Queen, an asparagus peeling competition, the Hohenwarter Musebuam, a live band concert in the afternoon, and a colorful family program, the asparagus town of Schrobenhausen traditionally opened the asparagus season.

The Schrobenhausener Spargelfest 2025 took place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 11 AM to 4:30 PM on Lenbachplatz in front of the town hall. Mayor Harald Reisner and Claudia Westner from the South Bavarian Asparagus Producers Association jointly opened the asparagus season.

The traditional asparagus tapping at 11:45 AM marked the ceremonial start. The Schrobenhausen Asparagus Queen held autograph sessions, the Hohenwarter Musebuam played folk music, and celebrity guests competed against asparagus farmers in the asparagus peeling competition.

The afternoon program, as every year, offered a packed family program with face painting, hands-on activities, balloon animals, and live music. Admission to the European Asparagus Museum was free. Thousands of visitors from the Neuburg-Schrobenhausen district and southern Germany came to celebrate the opening of the regional asparagus season.
