Overview
The 2025 Schnitterfest at the Museum KulturLand Ries in Maihingen once again showcased the historic grain harvest on the museum's fields. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., helpers demonstrated the traditional harvest of the Nördlinger Ries using a binder machine, tractor, and manual labor, accompanied by a family program in the monastery complex.
Proven Harvest Spectacle 2025
In 2025, the Schnitterfest once again focused on the annual grain harvest on the museum's fields. Binder machines and tractors, as well as historical manual techniques, conveyed to visitors how the harvest used to take place in the Nördlinger Ries.
Museum Festival in Maihingen
As in previous years, the baroque monastery complex of Maihingen provided the backdrop for the family-friendly festival with hands-on activities and catering – a highlight in the event year of the Museum KulturLand Ries.
