Schneverdinger Stadtfalken

The Schneverdinger Stadtfalken are a traditional fanfare and music band from the heath town of Schneverdingen. With trumpets, horns, trombones, tubas, and drums, the orchestra plays a wide selection of brass and march music – from classical pieces and contemporary arrangements to film melodies and folk marches. The Stadtfalken are a fixture in Schneverdingen's cultural life and perform regularly at city and regional events.

Open-Air Concert on Rathausplatz

The open-air concert on Saturday, August 29, 2026, is a highlight of the Heath Blossom Festival. The Stadtfalken will perform from 3:30 PM on the central Rathausplatz – the heart of the Heath Blossom Festival. The program includes a selection from their repertoire and is tailored to the festival audience. Hundreds of visitors gather in the square to listen.

Evening Highlight with Spielmannszug

Late in the evening, around 10:45 PM, another musical highlight follows: The Stadtfalken will perform together with the Schneverdingen Spielmannszug as part of the Heath Blossom Festival's Light Procession. When the procession reaches Rathausplatz, both bands will play together – an impressive experience that forms the grand finale of the concert evening.

Heath Blossom Festival as the Setting

The Schneverdingen Heath Blossom Festival is the most important tourist highlight of the town and the entire western Lüneburg Heath. It takes place every year at the end of August during the heath blooming season and attracts tens of thousands of visitors to the town. The performances by the Stadtfalken and the Schneverdingen Spielmannszug are musical highlights of this festival.
