The Schneeflöckchenmarkt is the traditional Christmas market of the town Brake (Unterweser). Unlike many anonymous city centre markets, it takes place in a special location: in the historic Museumsgarten at Breiten Straße 9. The sheltered location and the historic surroundings give the market an unusually dense, intimate atmosphere.

Four market days during Advent

The Schneeflöckchenmarkt traditionally runs from Thursday to Sunday, starting at 4 PM (Thursdays to Saturdays) or 12 PM (Sundays). The evening opening hours make the market the perfect meeting point after work and on weekends — mulled wine, Advent atmosphere, and cosy get-togethers are the focus.

Wooden stalls, mulled wine, and handicrafts

Christmas-decorated wooden stalls await at the market, offering mulled wine, hot chocolate, crêpes, bratwurst, and potato pancakes, as well as stands with Advent decorations, handicrafts, regional specialities, and gift ideas. Many exhibitors are local craftspeople whose work gives the market an authentic, personal character.
