Schlossplatzfest Coburg

The 2025 edition was the last in the classic Schlossplatzfest format. Rising operating costs led to the decision to revise the concept. The organizers openly communicated that a changed model — with free admission and a culinary focus — would secure the economic foundation for the future.

Coburg, as a cultural city with its historic residence, the Landestheater, and Veste Coburg, relies on large summer open-air events to sharpen its tourist profile. The Schlossplatzfest was and remains a central component of this strategy.
