Overview

The 2025 season of the Schlierseer Bauerntheater ran from Easter Monday to December under the still-current leadership of Florian Reinthaler, who had shaped the theatre for 20 years. The program included four folk plays, all in Bavarian dialect, with around 20 performances at the venue on Xaver-Terofal-Platz.

The last season under Florian Reinthaler offered a classic folk theatre program: two new productions with premieres at Easter and Pentecost, complemented by two revivals of successful folk plays. In 2025, the Schliersee actors also performed exclusively in the Bavarian dialect.

The season prepared for the generational change in 2026: Martin Hirtreiter, who takes over the chairmanship from the 2026 season, was already involved in the organization in 2025. With this transition, the Schlierseer Bauerntheater remains true to its commitment: vibrant folk theatre with tradition, supported by volunteer citizens of Schliersee.
