Overview

The Schlepzig Brewery Festival 2025 opened the Maibock season of the Spreewälder Privatbrauerei 1788. From 12 PM, Spreewald visitors and regular guests gathered in the historic brewery courtyard for the tapping, live music accompanied the festival until the late afternoon. Free admission.

In 2025, the festival continued the centuries-old tradition: Maibock – a strong seasonal beer – is tapped in April, the first sip symbolizing the start of spring. The Brewery 1788 is one of Brandenburg's oldest breweries and today positions itself within the Spreewaldresort "Seinerzeit" as an experience brewery: tours, tastings, beer workshops.

Besides Oktoberfest and the Schlachtefest (slaughter festival), the Brewery Festival is one of the most important event dates in the resort's annual program. The mix of brewing tradition and Spreewald cuisine regularly attracts several hundred guests.
