Overview

The 12th Schirmitz Dorffest in 2025 once again attracted thousands of visitors to the Upper Palatinate municipality. The festival mile between the school and the bank, the wine bar in the village square, the children's area in the afternoon, and the music stages with folk music and cover bands characterised the event — a classic village festival organised by the Schirmitz "Vereinskartell".

The 12th edition of the Schirmitz Dorffest followed the tried-and-tested choreography of previous years. All local clubs — from the SpVgg to the fire brigade, singing club, and cycling club — participated with stands along the festival mile. Schaschlik, Currywurst, French Fries, Fish Rolls, Flammkuchen, Ćevapčići, and sweet pastries constituted the culinary diversity.

In the village square, the wine bar served guests, while Line Dancers and folk music ensembles performed on stages in the middle of the festival mile. The evening cover band ensured a full dance floor. However, the fire show to conclude the festival was absent — it will only return in 2026 after a five-year break.
