Overview

The 2025 edition took place on Friday, December 5, 2025 — the Friday before the 2nd Sunday of Advent. Classic double format with Andreasmarkt on Schramberger Straße (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.) and Schiltach Advent in the historic old town (3 p.m. – 9 p.m.). The famous Black Forest half-timbered scenery with fairy lights, mulled wine stands, and brass band once again attracted thousands of visitors from the central Black Forest and beyond in 2025.

Schiltach's Advent double in 2025 was as popular as ever: the Andreasmarkt craft section with textiles, leather goods, and household items opened in the morning on Schramberger Straße. Local clubs offered mulled wine, bratwurst, and crêpes. In the afternoon, the Schiltach Advent set up in the historic old town around the triangular market square — artisans, Advent stalls, and light installations transformed the half-timbered scenery into a contemplative pre-Christmas stage. Brass band performances and Advent carols accompanied the evening until 9 p.m. A proven format that continues to carry over to the 2026 edition.
