Overview

The 735th Tengen Schätzele-Markt took place in October 2025, once again drawing over 100,000 visitors to the small Hegau town. The festival tent, market, trade exhibition, funfair, and business rally confirmed its status as one of Southern Germany's oldest and largest folk festivals. The tradition, alive since the 13th century, continues to be upheld.

735th Schätzele-Markt — October 2025

In 2025, the 735th Schätzele-Markt transformed Tengen, the small Hegau town, into the vibrant center of southern Baden for four days. The festival tent, market, funfair, and trade exhibition filled the streets and squares; over 100,000 visitors were drawn from Hegau, Lake Constance, and nearby Switzerland.

With the Business Rally on Saturday afternoon, the Schätzele-Markt has for years combined folk festival atmosphere with economic networking — a unique feature that sets it apart from other folk festivals in the region. The 736th edition follows in 2026.
