The Schachblumenfest 2025 took place, as usual, during the blooming season in late April on the Hetlingen snake's head fritillary meadows. With daytime tours and NABU late afternoon tours, the festival imparted nature knowledge and allowed visitors to experience one of the most remarkable wildflowers of the North German flora in full splendor.

In 2025, the Schachblumenfest once again attracted nature lovers and plant enthusiasts to the Elbmarsch. The snake's head fritillary meadows showed their peak bloom in the second half of April, and the guided tours were well-attended.
