In 2025, the Saseler Heimatfest celebrated its 50th birthday. For three days, Saseler Markt transformed into a festival mile where clubs, families, and guests celebrated the district's anniversary. Special anniversary program, classic stalls, and a well-attended Sunday flea market.
The 50th edition of the Saseler Heimatfest in 2025 was a special occasion for the district. The Heimatfestverein had expanded the program with anniversary highlights: celebratory speeches, retrospectives on five decades of district festivals, and performances by local music groups were featured alongside the classic club program.
Saseler Markt was filled with visitors from all over the Wandsbek district on all three days. The Heimatfest has maintained its place in Hamburg's event calendar — a piece of community-driven culture, which retains its charm in the Walddörfer even after 50 years.
