Overview

The 2025 Salzach Festspiele were celebrated in July with the usual two-week program at Schloss Triebenbach near Laufen. Bavarian cabaret artists, dialect musicians, classical ensembles, and crossover formations performed on nine evenings in the castle courtyard. The festival confirmed its status as the most important open-air cultural festival in the Rupertiwinkel region.

In 2025, the festival once again attracted a loyal audience from the Berchtesgadener Land, Salzburg, and Munich to the courtyard of Schloss Triebenbach. Several evenings were sold out months before the festival began — typical for the Salzach Festspiele, which always sell out quickly due to the limited castle capacity of about 800 seats per evening.

The format of Bavarian dialect music, classical performances, and cabaret under the open sky in the historic castle courtyard has remained the festival's hallmark since its founding in 2005.
