The 2025 edition of the Saalfelder Marktfest took place in mid-June. Four days of live music on two stages (market square and outdoor pool), a craft market, family program, and children's festival attracted around 15,000 visitors to the 'Feengrottenstadt'. The festival combined its over one hundred-year-old market tradition with a modern open-air festival concept.
Saalfeld 2025 — Modern City Festival
In June 2025, the Saalfelder Marktfest once again opened its two stages at the market square and the outdoor pool. Live music, a craft market with artisans and regional cuisine, a family program, and a children's festival marked the four-day festival weekend. Around 15,000 visitors experienced a city festival that combines the historic market tradition with modern open-air concerts — the 'Feengrottenstadt' in festive attire.
