Ruhrtriennale 2025

The 2025 edition was the first full directorship season for Ivo Van Hove and established his aesthetic and thematic profile. With productions addressing contemporary issues — the climate crisis, social inequality, democratic erosion — the season built on the Ruhrtriennale's international reputation. The high audience turnout and positive critical reception laid the foundation for the programming of the particularly ambitious final season in 2026.
