Edition 2025 — Ruhr Piano Festival

The Ruhr Piano Festival 2025 took place in spring and summer with around 70 concerts in the Ruhr cities. International pianists performed in philharmonic halls, concert halls, industrial monuments, and churches. Organizer: Brost Foundation within the Initiativkreis Ruhr.

As in previous years, the festival in 2025 covered the entire Ruhr area, from Duisburg through Essen, Bochum, and Dortmund to the smaller towns. The education program once again reached over 1,100 young people in disadvantaged districts.

Programme

Around 70 concerts in 17 cities — solo recitals, chamber concerts, piano with orchestra programs, and crossover formats. Venues included Mercatorhalle Duisburg, Anneliese Brost Musikforum Bochum, Philharmonie Essen, Zeche Zollverein.
